Clinic burgled last night…
Tuesday, 10 August 2010 …but luckily nothing of value seems to be missing! The thief, probably a man observed snooping around earlier in the afternoon, broke two doors at the back of the office and started collecting stuff inside. We found a computer stuffed away in a sack, but left behind. For reasons unknown, the thief ran away empty handed, probably disturbed by someone passing the office building.
We were lucky, this could have cost us more then the two trashed doors. Now we are changing the front door as well, and it will be more difficult to break in after this.
A question still is unanswered: How come the perpetrator didn’t take anything with him when he left? Maybe because our computers and other equipment is old and not particularly valuable? Or maybe he looked for drugs or money, which we don’t store here?
Anyway, why try and steal from a poor clinic dedicated to treating destitute people? Sad story, indeed.
