Australian Foundation for Peoples of Asia and the Pacific
The objective of the AFAP Medical Supplies and Services (MSS) Program is to provide hospital equipment and medical supplies to hospitals and health centres in developing nations. AFAP collects superseded and surplus equipment which are no longer required by NSW nursing homes, private and public hospitals. AFAP then refurbishes them in their warehouse and ships them to hospitals and clinics in developing nations. The recycling of superseded equipment also helps the environment in Australia as it reduces demand in landfills in NSW.
