Once again the Griffith University Student put on a party to remember and raised money for charities they support – Bairo Pite Clinic and a school in Kenya. They filled the room to capacity with 350 happy people. No easy feat !They were extremely proud to announce that they raised $31,477 at their annual 2015 fundraising dinner!
This money will provide essential support to BPC and to their Malnutrition Intervention Program at the Ruben Centre in Kenya.
They practiced and they planned.
The local community was very generous with gifts and auction items.
First Prize is a $7000 package for two at the 5 star Sukhavati Ayurvedic Retreat and Spa in Bali!!
Second Prize is a $2000 Standard Market Company (Ferry Rd Markets/James Street Markets) voucher.
Third Prize is a beautiful quilt made by Jess Van Den Heuvel’s gorgeous mumma.
Boys from local schools helped on the night to sell tickets and herd the cats to their tables !
A huge thank you to Danny and his team from @thepowerstationco for getting the party started on Friday night with their Espresso Martini stand! Not only can this crew make a great cup of coffee and shake a mean cocktail, they are also incredibly generous supporters of Ubuntu. It means a lot to the Ubuntu crew and helps them to continue the work that they do.
AND – they are delicious !
There were many beautiful young people…
THANK YOU once again Team Ubuntu – BPC is extremely grateful for all of your efforts.
